The closest thing India has to a cold store owner’s show. Refrigeration and cold chain are the subject rather than a hall within something larger, and it moves city each year, which is how a Pune edition ends up within reach of people a Delhi edition does not.

Worth your day
- Cold storage construction and insulated panels, which get a proper showing here rather than a corner.
- Refrigeration plant sized for storage rather than for buildings.
- Controls, and the people who commission them — ask who installed the nearest one to you.
- The seminar programme, which at an ISHRAE event is usually engineers describing real projects.
Walk past
- Reefer vehicles, unless you are moving your own crop.
- Anything sold as a complete turnkey package before you have your own capacity and load figures written down.
Getting there
Pune is a flight from Delhi or Lucknow, which makes this the most expensive of the four to reach from western Uttar Pradesh — and still the one worth going to. REFCOLD moves city each year, so a nearer edition comes round eventually.
